Test Results on this sample indicate the product can cause damage to a passenger car engine.
This product is labeled as a 5W-30 motor oil, however, the PQIA test results on this sample show the 100șC viscosity is 34% below the minimum specification for a 5W-30. In addition, the CCS viscosity is 41% higher than the maximum limit for a 5W-30.
The product claims to comply with the obsolete API
service category SC/CC, but the test results show
the additive levels to be well below that required
for SC/CC. In addition, the levels of silicon,
aluminum, iron, sodium, and potassium are indicative
of used oil. This oil should not be used in
automobile engines as it could cause serious damage
to most engines on the road today.
NOTE: This is the third CONSUMER ALERT issued on the Bullseye brand. The first was in January 2011. A second consumer alert on Bullseye was issued for a sample tested in July 2011. CLICK HERE CONSUMER ALERTS ON BULLSEYE

The American
Petroleum
Institute sets
forth a number
of laboratory
and engine tests
required to meet
an API SN ILSAC
GF-5
performance
specification.
Although
laboratory tests
alone cannot be
used to
establish if an
engine oil meets
API SN, they can
be used to
determine if it
doesn't.
