Collection of Personal Information and Non-Personal Information

The Petroleum Quality Institute of America (PQIA) is committed to protecting your privacy. Our Privacy Policy follows below. Click here for the Terms of Use of the websites and newsletter.

This page informs you of our privacy policies regarding the collection, use and disclosure of personal information when you use the websites operated by PQIA, including pqiamerica.com, pqiablog.com, and receiving the PQIA Newsletter. By using the websites and receiving to the PQIA Newsletter, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

This Privacy Policy does not govern PQIA’s use of any information you provide to PQIA when you call, write, or communicate with PQIA in any manner other than through the PQIA websites and its newsletter.

We may use your personal information to contact you to promote PQIA services and events. In addition, such information may also be used to respond to correspondence from you. We do not collect any personal information about you unless you voluntarily provide it to us. You may, however, be asked to provide certain personal information to PQIA when you elect to use certain products or service available on the websites or in the PQIA newsletter. These may include entering a sweepstakes or contest, participating in a survey, sending us an email, etc.

Email Communications

In addition to sending the PQIA Newsletters to subscribers, the Petroleum Quality Institute of America may, from time-to-time, contact you by email for the purpose of providing information about conferences and meetings, alerts, confirmations, and other announcements and communications. In addition, PQIA may request information by surveys were participation is voluntary and you are given a choice to not participate and therefore not disclose personal information. We may use and aggregate survey data to analyze trends and statistics and do not disclose aggregate information in a manner that would identify you personally. If you would like to stop receiving the PQIA Newsletter, you may opt out of such communications by clicking the “Unsubscribe” link in the footer of the newsletter.

  

Changes to the Privacy Policy

The PQIA may change or add to this privacy policy, as such, we encourage you to come back and read it periodically. We will notify you about significant changes in the way PQIA treats personal information by sending a notice to the email address specified in your PQIA Newsletter subscription. Under certain circumstances visitors to the PQIA websites and subscribers to the PQIA Newsletter, have the right to access and receive a copy of the Personal Data we hold about you, update and or/correct such information, data portability, and to request that personal data about you is deleted. The PQIA websites and Newsletter are operated and published in the United States.
